He is recognized for pioneering and transforming the Liquid Foods business at JBT Corporation by synergizing Preservation & Filling with Fruit & Juice sectors, driving acquisitions, executing business strategies, and enhancing profitability.
At JBT, he restructured the organization into four key groups to support future growth and integrate newly acquired companies. His initiatives included a diversification and expansion strategy that successfully increased the business through targeted acquisitions, product development, and organic growth, completing nine acquisitions since 2015. Carlos has also emphasized the importance of multicultural hiring within the management team, focusing on nurturing early career talent.
Appointed EVP and President of Diversified Food & Health at John Bean Technologies Corporation (JBT) in August 2017, Carlos oversaw sales and operations across multiple regions, including the U.S., Europe, and South America. His leadership encompassed Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Human Resources, R&D, Finance, and Administration, managing over 3,000 employees across 18 locations from the Division Headquarters in Lakeland, Florida.
In October 2022, Carlos transitioned to a corporate role, focusing on Strategy and M&A, driving Corporate Sustainability initiatives, collaborating with key customers on sustainability goals, exploring new food technologies, and implementing marketing and sales strategies for JBT solutions.
In January 2024, Carlos was appointed Chairman of the Board and CEO of Villa Food, a pioneering company producing high-quality ready-to-eat food with an extended shelf life, specifically targeting the foodservice segment. He was also appointed Board Member and Head of Strategy for Persiskin, a startup producing vegan leather from wasted persimmons to provide sustainable alternatives to plastic and animal leather in the automotive, fashion, and furniture industries. Additionally, he joined Classis Capital as Vice President of the Corporate Access Area and became a Board Member of B&B Executive Team, focusing on executive search and coaching.
In May 2024, Carlos joined the Board of OptiCept, a Swedish technology company innovating extraction processes in the Food and Plant industries, significantly reducing waste and improving product quality and sustainability.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a Law Certificate from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, and has completed courses at Harvard, INSEAD, and Wharton.
With over 30 years of global experience in food science, process engineering, and strategic mergers and acquisitions, Dr. Flores brings a unique combination of technical depth and business acumen to Stratumm. He has built a career at the intersection of scientific innovation and business strategy, including key leadership roles at JBT Corporation – a global leader in food processing solutions – and Citrofrut, one of Mexico’s leading citrus processors.
Dr. Flores has worked extensively across the food and beverage industry, with deep expertise in fruit handling, juice processing, and product formulation. He has led numerous company evaluations and played a pivotal role in successful acquisitions and integrations across international markets.

Javier has lived and worked in the United States, Europe and LATAM. Given his multinational experience and multicultural approach, Javier has led international search and leadership projects.

In April 2024, Luis launched the brand ‘Peckers’ in Monterrey, Mexico, introducing Nashville-style hot chicken to the region. Since then, he has expanded the company’s operations into both the United States and Colombia.
